You Heard It Here First – Brown is the new Black!

It’s official ladies, our fail -safe shade of choice has been knocked off its prime position in the colour chart – with a Royal approval to boot! We know, we know, what on earth could replace black? Well, with one glance at Kate, Pippa & Zara at the Cheltenham Races, it seems that brown is very much back on the colour radar, and we couldn’t adore it more.

Eva Mendes Hits the Spot

Hollywood actress, and star of new flick The Place Beyond the Pines, Eva Mendes has been spotted – pardon the pun – out and about in New York in not one, but two perfectly pretty polka dot ensembles… both of which were teamed with crochet style fashion tights.

There was a clear theme for the weekend: first Eva arrived at her hotel on Saturday in a

gorgeous vintage inspired pale brown dress covered in white polka dots, teamed with tough brown cheap viagra leather boots and belt and sweet open net tights. Then she wore the same tights the following day with… more spots! Opting this time for a ladybird patterned shirt dress with black accessories, the star took a Sunday stroll around the city – the perfect way to flaunt her patterned pins.

What we love best about Eva’s style is that she shows how easy it is to pull off a chic, simple pattern. Paris, Do You EVER Wear Anything Else?

Another day, another photo of US It girl Paris Hilton flashing her suspender tights. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve spotted the notorious party girl flaunting her mock stocking tops- she stepped out for dinner at the weekend with boyfriend River Viperi wearing a pair of the Pretty Polly Suspender Tights teamed with an animal print green silk minidress and lace up shoe boots. Which girl group is back together now?!

They gave us Eternal Flame and The Tide is High, along with other songs we all love to sing/screech along to at karaoke. They may have gone through a quick line up change before going their separate ways again but this time round the original line up is back…and we can’t wait!

As far as the world of music is concerned, 2013 is most cialis for sale certainly the year of the reunion. Everyone from 5ive to Fleetwood Mac is getting in on the act, and it seems the Atomic Kitten girls are too. Making a debut performance at the Hammersmith Apollo at the end of February, the girls have proven just why we love them again London’s infamous G-A-Y club last week.Our highlights have to be an appearance from original member Kerry Katona (we’ve missed you Kerry!), Natasha’s

If it's good enough for Nikki and Kim…

…it’s good enough for us! We all love a print, but it just so happens that we’ve found one that our favourite A-Listers adore too! Houndstooth is everywhere, from coats to bags to nails, no wardrobe is content without it. Luckily for us and our pins,

Emilio Cavallini loves the pattern too, so they’ve made it as simple as ever to get involved in the trend.

Now, our love for the print is deep rooted, stretching back to Henry Holland and his AW12 collection. From there onwards, it seemed that the entire fashion world became smitten with all things houndstooth, and the Italian brand stepped up to bring us a bigger & bolder take on the design.

A few weeks back, controversial American comedian Sarah Silverman graced our television sets, making an appearance on the Graham Norton show alongside Mark Wahlberg. Questions over Wahlberg’s tipsy state were raised, but the one thing that wasn’t questioned was Silverman’s hosiery style – we adore it!!

The Girls Are Back in Town!

That’s right, our favourite five piece since the Backstreet Boys are back to what they do best and have kicked off their reunion tour with a bang. Complete with sequins, glitter and some rather strange feathered wings, the girls have joined forces once more to give fans an anniversary show to remember. Starting off in Newcastle, it’s clear they’ve set the standards high for the rest of the eight week tour. But it wasn’t the harmonies or Cheryl’s (questionable) new back tattoo we were focused on…it was Nicola Robert’s arms!

Looking fabulous and fierce, the girls changed into metallic basque style dresses and nude fishnets for a part of their set, proving just why they’re an office favourite. It was only then that we noticed that the 27 year old fashionista (and close confidante of designer Henry Holland) was modelling none other than some armery! Spotted: Celebs in Tights

Everywhere we look there are celebrities flaunting legs clad in the latest fashions. But there’s no need to be green with envy – it’s never been so easy to get the look. You

don’t need a personal stylist, insider know-how or even loads of money, as this bunch prove…

Fashion opaques are the way forward this season and winter florals were huge on the catwalks at all of the A/W designer shows. So make like Katie Holmes, who stepped out wearing the lovely Aristoc All Over Floral Tights recently. The actress’s fashion sense has been given a whole new lease of life since her break up from Tom Cruise in 2011, and she looked chic and sophisticated in these, teaming them with a blue coat, red handbag and grey heeled ankle boots.

Happy Birthday, Kate! The Queen of Sheers is 31 and Fabulous

It’s Kate Middleton’s birthday today, so we’ve taken a look at her defining fashion moments…
1) The dresses
When images of Kate wearing

that see through dress at a Uni fashion show emerged, the UK’s women were simultaneously overjoyed and dismayed. Overjoyed, because it just goes to show that no matter who you are, embarrassing mistakes will be made (Prince Harry of course plays his own part in this too). Dismayed, because the sheer dress displayed all too clearly a figure that we could never even dream of achieving. Sigh.
Still, fast forward a few years and Kate was wowing us in the blue Issa dress she wore to announce her engagement – in our opinion her most iconic look to date. A classic cut in a gorgeous fabric and beautiful hue made it the perfect dress for the occasion, so it was no surprise that not only did it sell out in minutes, Issa decided to make it part of their permanent collection.
2) The tights
If we were Kate, we’d be walking around declaring that we personally ended the recession in the UK (probably a good job we’re not, then). There’s no denying her impact on sales – after it was discovered that she wears nude sheer tights, sales of Falke and Wolford Tights at one department store were up by 40%, while for some vendors sales were up by as much as 500%!

Our Favourite Hosiery Moments of 2012

As the year end approaches, everyone is winding down and reflecting on the year just past – not least us. We’ve spent the week pondering our favourite (tights-related, naturally) moments of 2012…

1) Kristen Stewart Shows off her Spanx Shapewear

Accidentally flashed her control underwear while on the Jay Leno show giving an

interview, making mere mortals everywhere breathe a sigh of relief. Celebs are as self conscious as we are, it seems, as lots of other stars came out of the shapewear underwear closet in the year, including X Factor judge Tulisa and Katy Perry, who are both said to favour the shaping underwear over hard exercise and diet. 2) Little Mix – Just Generally!

3) Mary Portas launches her range of Control Tights

Including 2 fashion designs, not only did she put an end to the choice between fashion and comfort – she loved them so much she wore them every night on Channel 4’s Hotel GB.
