New Emilio Cavallini: An 80′s Throwback

Do you remember the 80’s? Well I do and amongst the oversized shoulder pads and frosted hair, there was a real feel of excitement, of rebellion and of vibrancy, led by colour of every kind becoming part of our daily fashion diet.

A never worn before explosion of electric oranges, atomic purples, acid greens and yellow and shocking blues burst into our wardrobe and for several years, took over.

It was a fashion that came from the street artists and graduated into fashion design to create the most aggressive wardrobe of the last century.

Now it seems this slice of the 80’s is back. Emilio Cavallini has launched their own homage to the 80’s with a range of ‘get happy’ hosiery that can be a great way to put that injection of colour into your wardrobe without going the whole hog. The big question is how to work this trend without looking too retro.

In the first instance you can create your own 21st Century take on this revival by using a simple stark basic as your foundation garment – a simple black dress, your favourite jeans or a stylish shorts suit. Add a pair of neon orange tights, such as the Emilio Cavallini Semi Sheer Seamed Tights in Orange, or the acid green Poppies Knee Highs and you have an instant colour kick.

Elongate the season for dark dresses by lifting what would be a severe look into something fun. Try different colours to see what works with your leg shape, size and your own original style – there are a variety of patterns to choose from too, from fluorescent floral patterns to neon animal print tights. Team solid colour shoes so that the focus is on your legs. For the evening, shorten your hem length to put even more neon leg on display.

If leg expanses aren’t your thing, try a hint of neon. Roll up your favourite jeans to show a colour explosion around the ankle – the Emilio Cavallini Opaque Knee Highs Socks are perfect for this. Try electric blue or shocking pink. Team with contrasting shoes for a really bright fun day into evening look.

Last year’s fashion can also benefit from a neon update and whilst unpredictable weather is still with us, use fluorescent coloured tights to give a new twist on a shorts suit, cropped jumpsuit or sawn off jeans. Teamed with interesting shoes it’s a look that will see you through to summer. Who knows, it may even help to bring on the sunshine!

London Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2012: the Trend Report

The fashion pack descended on London this week to devour a feast of fashion from the UK’s top designers.  London Fashion Week has a reputation for being quirky, eccentric and occasionally downright bonkers – but commentators have dubbed this Autumn Winter 2012 London Fashion Week the one where London grew up and became more commercially aware.  Don’t think for a second that means boring though!  With prints, acid brights, fun and colourful tailoring. London’s designers have once again proved that they are bursting with creativity and leading the way in the fun and wearable fashion we’ll all be coveting next season.   I’ve picked out a few of the emerging trends from this week’s catwalk shows and I’ve also included some ideas for how to wear those looks right now.

Florals are a big trend for this Spring Summer season but designers, including Erdem and Giles, are determined to keep them alive for Autumn Winter.  While summer is a riot of colourful flower prints, autumn winter naturally calls for something a little more demure and muted.  Get the look now with Pamela Mann’s Flocked Rose Tights which have velvety flocked roses on a sheer black background that gives the perfect balance between flowery patterns and wintery texture.  Floral patterns on dark backgrounds also work well for this look so check out the Celeste Stein Frederick Dynasty Tights or Black New Age Floral Tights.

Big knits are a winter godsend and there were plenty of over sized jumpers to choose from on the catwalks at Jonathan Saunders, Acne and Christopher Kane.  Whether they were adorned with bright patterns, sparkling embellishment or made in acid brights, they were worn with a long, bottom covering, line.   Wear them with leggings or footless tights but make sure you always add in a pair of heels (the higher the better) to give the look a more dressed up feel.

Speaking of leggings, just when we thought they were waning they have had yet another revival at London Fashion Week.  At Clements Ribiero and Issa pretty much every dress or skirt was combined with a pair of leggings.  The new way to wear them is under longer length skirts and always with heels.  Think slim fitting knee length and midi skirts.   Try out the Trasparenze Dorella Footless Leggings in every colour and update you whole wardrobe.  Alternatively, take your leggings with a figure boosting secret.  Spanx’s Look At Me Cotton Leggings will hold you in all over to make your legs, bum and tummy look firmer and more toned under those fitted skirts and dresses.

For a sumptuous evening look you can’t beat brocade patterns in glimmering metallic threads.  Oman and Temperley exhibited luxurious brocade on skirts, trousers and jackets.  Get the look now with the Mary Portas and Charnos Baroque Floral Tights which have an opulent brocade floral pattern in a choice of silver, indigo or rich red.  This is a pattern that is best worn sparingly though.  Heed the advice of the Telegraph’s Lisa Armstrong who cautions “however much you adore brocade, limit yourself to one piece at a time. Keep the rest low-key and you can wear this day to night.”

One of the advantages of showcasing new Autumn Winter collections in February is that the weather is still chilly enough to start experimenting with next winter’s looks now!  Stock up on leggings and florals, You might be longing for the lazy, hazy days of summer but necessity still dictates that an oversized jumper and leggings are still going to be useful well into April.  And of course, don’t forget to start working that brocade into your look, especially for sumptuous evening occasions.    What are your favourite looks from London Fashion Week?  Do let us know which of the new looks you will be trying out over the next few months including those all important hosiery choices.

New Jonathan Aston Fashion Has Arrived

Our new Spring Summer collections are coming in fast and the latest to arrive is the new Jonathan Aston range.   Jonathan Aston is one of the most diverse fashion brands we stock. They have everything from bold coloured opaques to fashion tights that follow the season’s hottest trends.   This Spring Summer though, they’ve really excelled themselves so I thought I would bring you a few of the highlights from this brilliant range that captures all of the key looks of 2012.

If you want to reference the new grunge revival then Jonathan Aston’s Rebel Tights are the tights that will give you that look in an instant. We are certain that they are going to be bestsellers.  These opaque tights have an artfully worn and distressed look that is very rock and roll.   We stocked a similar pair of ripped tights last year and our customers couldn’t get enough of them.   This year we have a resurgence of 1990s fashion to help them along!

Speaking of the 1990s, ever since Alexa Chung sported a pair of pair of cycling shorts to Chanel’s catwalk show in Paris – bike shorts have been a burgeoning microtrend.   Jonathan Aston’s Adore Tights are a way to wear this trend without having to brave the lycra look.  These sheer tights become opaque above the knee and are decorated with a lace pattern that looks great worn under another pair of shorts, particularly denim ones.  Alexa wore hers with heels and a boxy blazer but you can try this with flat ankle boots for a more casual look.

The spring summer catwalks were bursting with flower prints with designers like Oscar de la Renta, Matthew Williamson, Erdem, Diane von Furstenberg and Christopher Kane experimenting with head to toe florals.   With their fresh and pretty rose pattern, Jonathan Aston’s Bouquet Tights are a more flattering way to wear florals than those unforgiving flowery jeans and trousers that are all over the high street.   Floral tights are also a simple way to add colour to the all white outfits that are big news this season.

Spots continue as a huge trend this season and Jonathan Aston’s new Cherish Tights are light and summery way to wear this look.  The opaque spots on these tights are very similar to the ones that Cheryl Cole wore on the cover of Instyle magazine recently but Jonathan Aston have updated them for summer by making these tights from micronet, rather than sheer hosiery, and introducing the delicate nude shade Brulee as an alternative to black.  Brulee is a very soft pink shade that is perfect to team with those summery nude dresses and shoes.   Update last season’s lace dresses with these spotty tights for a pretty, girly look.

Finally, the Jonathan Aston Chaos Tights are at the top of my want list.  Made from luxurious tulle, they have a paint spatter pattern that is created in velvety flocking with a sensational back seam.  They feel gorgeous, they look amazing and they’ll certainly turn heads.

This is just a selection of the fantastic fashion pieces in the new Jonathan Aston Spring Summer range.  Check out the full range of Jonathan Aston Tights which also includes cute cherry patterns, wild animal prints and sexy suspender tights.

Surprise Someone Special this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day should be a day of lovely surprises.  Whether you are treating someone to a special gift or you are planning your own outfit for an evening of seduction – hosiery is an essential part of the package.  Whether you are buying lingerie for that special someone or you are buying for yourself, don’t forget to complete the look with our range of Stockings, Hold ups and Suspender belts.

Vintage is in vogue and there is nothing sexier than stockings and suspenders.  If you have never tried stockings and a suspender belt before, Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to give them a whirl.  Men simply adore them and they certainly make you feel glamorous and desirable.   Mark my words, real stockings are going to make a mainstream comeback in the next few months so we’ll be doing everything we can to encourage you to be bold with this trend.  Until Valentine’s Day we will be offering a free Jonathan Aston suspender belt when you order two pairs of stockings, tights or hold ups from Jonathan Aston’s Vintage Legs Collection, simply add both pairs & the suspender belt to your basket and the discount will be applied at the checkout.  The suspender belt is made in stretch satin and comes in four gorgeous colours so you can match them to that sexy new underwear set.  They come in a sweet little heart shaped box so they make a lovely gift alongside a pair of Jonathan Aston’s Seam and Heel Lycra Stockings.  Treat yourself or someone else to a classic look that evokes the vintage glamour of yesteryear.

If you have selected a pretty, lacey underwear set, team it with a gorgeous pair of lace top hold ups for a seductive and feminine look.  Falke’s Seidenglatt Hold Ups have a wide band of delightfully decorative lace at the mid thigh.  Being from Falke they are also outstanding quality and they look and feel gorgeous with their sophisticated high shine look.  They are available in red and off white as well as traditional black and nude shades so again, you can match them up or choose colours to complement that knicker and bra set.

If lace is a little too girly for you, you can create a stronger, sleeker look with a pair of plain top hold ups. Black underwear looks especially seductive and powerful with a pair of plain top opaque hold ups like Wolford’s Velvet de Luxe 50 Stay Ups.  Teamed with stilettos this look is simple, sexy and in control.

Opaque hold ups are also a great option if you are at all self conscious about your legs.  They’ve provide that flattering, extra coverage you get from your usual opaque tights but in an altogether more alluring style.

If you are giving lingerie as a gift this Valentine’s Day, making the effort to choose the right hosiery to go with it is a must.  She’ll know you have really thought about the whole look and that is guaranteed to earn you some extra brownie points!   If you are at all unsure then don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and our expert customer service team will be more than happy to advise you on styles, sizing any other queries you might have.

Fashion Tights for Curves

When it was announced that Adele would be on the cover of March’s edition of US Vogue, the internet was awash with speculation about whether this meant that the fashion industry had cast aside their dogmatic classification of beauty.  In truth the fashion industry (OK the High Street at least) has been bringing out popular, profitable and highly fashionable ranges for women of UK size 16 plus for years.   Despite this revolution though, it has still been difficult to find fashionable plus size hosiery on the high street.  In response to the huge demand, MyTights.com has now expanded our range to include even more funky, colourful and feminine hosiery made especially for curvaceous women.  Whether you want fashion styles or just good honest basics with just the right fit our plus size range includes the very best of both.

Pamela Mann specialises in taking the hottest hosiery trends – from the catwalks and celebrities – and making them available quickly and at highly affordable prices so we were really excited when they announced a new plus size tights collection.  What we particularly love about this range is that, instead of designing a special range in larger sizes only, they have taken some of their most popular fashion designs and re-sized and restructured them to fit UK sizes 16 – 32.  Bestsellers like the Pamela Mann Jive Seam Tights, which have a timelessly classic back seam and pointed heel, are now available in sizes that fit real curves.   You can also get on to this season’s trend for spots with the Pamela Mann Sheer Dotty Plus Size Tights or the suspender tights trend with the Large Overknee Hearts Plus Size Tights.

Pamela Mann have also given their ever popular opaques a plus size makeover.  Pamela Mann opaques have always been great value for money and the new plus size versions make great every day tights.  There are 50, 80 and 120 denier styles available to see you through the seasons and, although there is a limited range of shades available at the moment but,  with Pamela Mann’s reputation for dazzling colour we are sure there will be more on the way soon.

While Pamela Mann have got your fashion styles sorted, Pretty Polly’s Curves range is best for basics.   Glamorous sheer tights have always been tricky to find in larger sizes but Pretty Polly Curves Nylons Tights fit hips of up to 60inches.   When it’s cooler outside, we highly recommend the Pretty Polly Curves Plush Opaques with their super soft feel and smooth appearance – beautiful durable opaques you will want to wear every day.

Most of these styles come with a back panel in the brief which is a way of making the tights larger around the body to accommodate your hips.  Some people find this OK others will find it really uncomfortable.  If you dream of avoiding the back panel, I thought I would also mention Levante’s Extra Tights.  These 15 denier tights are designed with UK sizes 20 plus in mind and they will fit up to a 60inch hip without that annoying back panel.

Outside from the specific plus size tights ranges, there are also plenty of other choices in the plus size section of our site.  Brands like Falke have always made their products in a wide range of sizes – most styles cater for hips up to a 54inches.    They are more expensive than either the Pretty Polly or the Pamela Mann ranges, but for such fantastic quality they are well worth the extra money.  Falke’s Seidenglatt 70 Tights for example have a gorgeous shiny finish and come in a range of beautiful fashion colours which change every season.   They are especially good too if you are tall and curvaceous as they tend to be cut quite generously in the leg.

If you are a size 16 or above, you’ll know how tricky it can be to find hosiery that not only looks good but fits well too.  Now we not only have some fantastic every day products but we’ve upped the count of fun plus size fashion tights too.  We’ll keep on the look out for more styles to add to the collection but in the meantime, check out the plus size section at MyTights.com.  We’d love to hear what you think of our plus size fashion range.

12 Trends for 2012: Part 2

In the second part of my 12 Trends for 2012 style guide I’ll be looking at the colours and print.  This is where hosiery really comes into its own so I’ve saved the best to last!  Tights and socks are one of the most affordable ways to give your wardrobe an update with the season’s key colour trends so without further delay here are the colours and prints you will be rocking through 2012.

Floral

Oscar de la Renta, Normaluisa and Blumarine all used florals to give a fresh, summery feel to their latest catwalk collections.  In a couple of weeks Jonathan Aston’s new Spring Summer Collection will be hitting our site so keep an eye out for their fab florals!  In the meantime, check out the floral tights section on our website for colourful floral tights by brand like Pamela Mann and Celeste Stein.

Animal

This season we’ll be moving on from leopard and into even more unusual and exotic animal prints like zebra, snake and tiger.  Wolford’s Tiger Tights and Celeste Stein’s Black Faces Zoo Tights will have you on trend in an instant.

White

Get ready to dress in white from head to for summer 2012 as the all white looks at Daks, Nina Ricci and Lanvin got a lot of attention from the fashionistas.  Nothing looks more serene and summery, but brilliant white can be a little harsh and unflattering unless you are very tanned.   Softer shades like cream and ivory will give the same effect but are more forgiving.  Cover up under those hotpants (see 12 Trends for 2012: part 1) or short skirts with the Jonathan Aston Lace Shorts in Ivory.

Black and White

Good old black and white combinations never fail to turn heads and there were lots of black skirt white top combinations on the SS12 catwalks.  We’d recommend adding a funky edge to a classically tailored plain white or black dress with the Pamela Mann Duo Tone Tights in Black and White.  Combine with courts or peep toes with a modest platform – perfect.

Sweetie Shop

Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton hove shown the way to the sweetie shop with their gorgeous pastel collections.   The colours of this look remind me of sugared almonds so accessorise with Jonathan Aston’s Sheer Coloured Tights which give just the right touch of translucent colour.

Bright Colour

If whisper soft pastel shades are too demure for your taste, the other signature colours of the season are orange, yellow and blue.  Wear these shades for maximum impact in their brightest most electric guises.  Pamela Mann’s 50 Denier Opaque Coloured Tights with their range of “Flo” colours in blue, yellow and orange are the best place to start. Highlight with crisp white and you have a look that could have jumped straight off the Nicole Fahri catwalk!

Shake off the winter gloom by planning your spring and summer wardrobe.  If you are feeling the pinch after Christmas then tights are a great way to update your look without spending a fortune.

There’s plenty to have fun with this Spring Summer season.   I hope you are looking forward to playing with these colour and pattern combinations as much as I am!

12 Trends for 2012: Part 1

Happy New Year everyone!   Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too.

A new year means a new season to look forward to and we’ve been scouring the catwalks to find the trends that will be making a serious impact this year.  In the first part of my 12 Trends for 2012 style guide I’ve picked out some of the key shapes and styles that we’ll be seeing more of in 2012 and how to dress your legs to go with them.

Fishnet

Rihanna and Beyonce have both shown a love of fishnet tights for recent performances and mesh and fishnet inserts appeared on tops and skirts to give a sporty look on the Alexander Wang and Aquascutum catwalk.  Fishnet is going to be huge for 2012 – you’ll be wearing it on your arms and legs so pick up a pair of Pamela Mann’s Fishnet Tights in every colour!

Rockabilly

It has been a burgeoning underground fashion trend for a couple of years but 2012 will be the year that Rockabilly style goes mainstream.  After circle skirts, petticoats and perfectly coiffed hair, your next essential accessory for this look is ankle socks.  Pick up the Monique Ankle Socks in all the colours of the rainbow but keep an eye on the site as Spring Summer approaches as we’ll be bringing in loads of new styles to work with this look.

Dropped Waists

1920s style dropped waists made an impact on 2011’s Christmas party wear but this pretty, feminine silhouette will endure well into Spring Summer 2012.  Give yourself a cute and sexy 1920s flapper makeover with a short, dropped waist dress accessorised with Henry Holland Pearly Suspender Tights.

Hotpants

Shorts are getting shorter next season so be prepared for the return of hotpants!  Wear with opaque tights for spring and with sheer tights like Falke’s Shelina Tights for flawless pins when the weather warms up.

Sheer Clothing

Beautifully draped, sheer dresses are making the transition from catwalk to high street now.  Flowing chiffon and mesh fabrics make an elegant statement but what do you wear underneath?  Invest in slips like the Spanx Slimmer and Shine Strapless Slip which cover up, pull you in, and with its pretty detailing, will look like an integral part of your outfit.  Choose nude or black depending on your outfit and how daring you feel!

Peplums

Those funny little skirts that flare out from tops, skirts and trousers to give you an ultra curvy silhouette are back.  Fashionable in the 1980s, the peplum creates an extremely womanly shape.  Take notes from Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone and wear your peplum dress in bold shades but with minimal accessories and nude legs.  Pretty Polly’s Nylon Backseam Tights will add subtle sex appeal and old fashioned glamour while Wolford’s Sundot Tights add a delightful touch of discreet and sophisticated pattern.

Tomorrow I’ll be looking at the prints and colours that will keep you on trend through 2012.

Bag a bargin at the sales – and wear it all year

It is traditional at this time of year to do a round-up of the best of the year but you might have noticed that the MyTights.com sale has started today with over a hundred great products at up to 50% off so I thought I would give you a little taste of the trends that will be big in 2012 along with some sale items that will keep you on trend this season and next.

Prints

Designers have been showering the catwalks with bold prints but, unlike the clashing patterns of seasons past, this time they are all together more matchy matchy.  Make this look work for well….. work by teaming a bold dog tooth print skirt or jacket with Falke’s Grand Pepita Patterned Tights (down 50% from £20 to £10) which have a dainty check that will match but still tone down your bolder upper half.

Have some fun also with Wolford’s Wilderness Tights (now £29.70).  If you want to match your prints in a more interesting way, their tiger print pattern looks great as a softer accompaniment to straighter more regular stripes on a top or skirt.

Ladylike

Good news for hosiery lovers everywhere is that we’ll still be rocking the ladylike look throughout 2012.  High necks and elegant tailoring means that you can let your legs take centre stage with this look.  Show off a well turned ankle with a slim elegant stiletto and the unusual back seam on Jonathan Aston’s Vegas Tights (now down 25%).

Elegant spotted tights look lovely with knee length skirts to add something pretty and feminine.  Wolford’s Bonny Dots Hold Ups (now down 25%) look the epitome of ladylike chic when they are worn with a pair of round toed courts or t-bar shoes.

Sporty

With the Olympics in London this year, the sporty trend is going to be really hot through Spring Summer 2012 but you can invest with confidence knowing that it will still look current well into Autumn Winter 2012.  Don’t worry this year’s sporty look is not about 80s style sweat bands it is all together more sophisticated than that.  This incarnation of the trend is about layering and soft tailoring with flashes of bright “go faster colour”.  Turquoise, orange and yellow make especially great highlight colours so, for spring summer, choose Trasparenze’s Monique Ankle Socks (£3.85) in Arancio (bright orange), Jonathan Aston’s Slouch Socks in lemon yellow (now 50% off) or Cinzia Knee High Socks (£5.25) in Verda Acqua (bold turquoise).   Be fashion forward and wear the trend now with colourful opaque tights like Jonathan Aston 40D Opaque Tights (£6.00) in Daffodil and Orange knowing you can break them out again when the weather cools later in the year.  Ok these socks and opaques are not in the sale but they are cheap as chips all year round and a really simple way to give the requisite colour splash so I decided they counted anyway.

Lots of these fantastic pieces and more will be featuring in our winter sale – some of them with up to 50% off.  Stock up now and you’ll have you’ll have your key looks for 2012 sorted at a barginous price.

Christmas Eve

With everyone home for the holidays, Christmas Eve is the perfect time for catching up with old friends in the pub.  Christmas jumpers are huge this year as are classic winter patterns like fairisle.   Accessorise cozy knits with Pretty Polly’s Fairisle Backseam Tights – the woolly feel will keep you warm while the red back seam will slim and elongate your legs as well as giving them a subtle festive flavour.

Throw yourself into the festive mood with Celeste Stein’s Christmas Ornaments Tights.  Their pattern of baubles and tree decorations is fun and Chrismassy and way more original than a silly santa hat!  If baubles alone are not enough we also have this pattern in a glittery style which will give the Christmas tree a run for its money in the sparkle stakes!

If Christmas carolling is what you have planned for Christmas Eve then wrap up warm in some snugly wool tights.  Our Trasparenze Pechino Wool Tights are really cosy and their elegant ribbing is flattering on the leg.   In fact, I’ve found they are even warmer than trousers so you can sing your heart out without fear of chattering teeth!

Christmas Day

If you are in charge of Christmas dinner there is no need to compromise in the style stakes while you are in the kitchen.  Choose a classic shift dress and accessorise with sparkly jewellery and patterned tights and you have an outfit that will still look glam when you pop out of the kitchen in your pinny!  The Mary Portas and Charnos Baroque Floral Tights and the Jonathan Aston Taylor Tights have a sumptuous brocade pattern with an opulent shine that we think is just pure Christmas.

Boxing Day

By Boxing Day the urge to work off those excess calories often proves irresistible.  If you are heading out for a long walk in the country make sure you pick up some of Jonathan Aston’s Long Wool Mix Boot Over Knee Socks to keep your feet warm in your wellies.  Slouch them down below the knee and layer them over the Trasparenze Pechino Wool Tights you bought for Christmas Eve or get pick up some of the fantastically cosy and luxurious Falke Soft Merino Wool Tights.

New Years Eve

It’s the biggest night of the year and it is a great excuse to get out some serious glitter and shine.   We’ve made sure we are well stocked on sparkly little numbers like the Pretty Polly Embellished Tights and the Henry Holland Superstar Multi Tights.  If you really feel like pushing the boat out and making this a New Year’s Eve to remember, choose Bebaroque’s Lavender 80 denier Tights with their hand placed gems that will twinkle beautifully as the clock chimes midnight.  Sure they are pricy but I promise you they are the most beautiful tights you will ever own.  Invest now and you won’t be short of a party outfit pick me up throughout 2012.

Your Top Winter Products

If you order with us regularly you may have noticed that, a few weeks after you place your order, you receive an email from Feefo asking what you thought of our service and the products you bought.  I regularly pour over the feedback our customers have left us to identify ways in which we can make our service even better, but the feedback you leave is not just for us as Feefo feedback appears next to every product on our website.   Your honest opinions and advice help other customers with their purchases so we are always really grateful to anyone that takes the time to pass on their views – positive or negative.

Now the cold is really starting to bite, I thought I would use Feefo to check up on which chunky, snuggly and woolly tights you have rated highest for the coldest of days.   So here is a selection of the top rated winter products, as chosen by you – our customers!

1) Trasparenze Gennifer Merino Wool Tights

Merino wool is one of nature’s wonder fibres.  It is ultra lightweight but fantastically warm so it’s the perfect fabric for winter tights.  It’s no wonder therefore that Trasparenze’s Gennifer Merino Wool Tights have been rated the top winter product.  I would really struggle to improve on this description from one of our Canadian customers:

These merino tights are the most amazing! They are quite thin but very warm. In fact, they are warmer than a few thicker tights I have. It’s all about the wool content which is quite high (70%)….. The colours are gorgeous and I just recently placed another order for 3 additional colours. I highly recommend them to any woman who wants some pretty tights that provide great warmth.”

The great thing about these tights is that they come in a range of rich shades that are right on trend for the jewel tones that are in fashion this season.  This is how you stay really warm without compromising in the style stakes.

2) Levante Plain Wool Stockings

Wool stockings can be tricky to find on the high street and this may be one of the reasons that Levante’s Plain Wool Stockings have rated high on our list of favourite winter products.  If you love suspenders and stockings but you need something to keep the chill at bay in the winter these stockings are seriously useful.   As one customer remarked, “The stockings are fantastic – very light and VERY warm which is just what I wanted.”  Comments like “been wearing them for years and years” are really common and, looking over the customer feedback over the last few months, it is clear that customers who love this product find it hard to get elsewhere.

3) Falke Soft Merino Wool Tights

As I mentioned before, merino wool is the most amazing winter fabric so it’s not surprising to see another pair of merino wool tights in the top 5.  Falke’s Soft Merino Wool Tights are exceptional quality and are gorgeously soft – no hint of a wool itch with these tights.  As one customer put it, “These tights are wonderful. They fit beautifully and are very soft. I would definitely recommend them as a winter wardrobe must have.”

Falke also do a version of their soft merino wool tights with ribbing which is both flattering and stylish.  If you like Falke’s Soft Merino Tights, I’d highly recommend also checking out their Soft Merino Wool Ribbed Tights too!  Great for when you want to add a little texture to your outfit.

4) Falke Cotton Touch Tights

I know just from talking to customers how much they love Falke tights for their amazing quality so we weren’t surprised to see this brand pop up on the best rated list again.

Cotton tights are another “hard to find” product and our customers seem to rate the Falke Cotton Touch Tights for their super soft, cotton mix.  These tights will give you the look of an opaque but in a breathable fabric that is 43% cotton.  Great fit is something that Falke is famous for and I agree wholeheartedly with the customer who described these tights simply as “lightweight warmth and well fitted”.  They have a very faithful following, like this customer who said “I have bought a lot of pairs of these tights – can’t wear synthetic materials – & they are great, warm & comfortable, good range of colours & hard wearing. Have bought their footless tights too

5) Pretty Polly Soft Opaque Tights

For a woolly finish at a super affordable price it has to be Pretty Polly’s Soft Opaque Tights.  It is s the soft texture that really delights customers and they are described as having a “lovely soft feel” by one customer.  Another exclaimed “I love the fit and they feel sooo soft. Perfect [to] wear with a short tunic top.

Thanks again to everyone that has left feedback over the last few months we do pay attention to what you say and it definitely helps us to improve our service and product ranges.  It’s also really interested to look back over the last few months and see which products you love and return to again and again.  Keep your comments coming!
