Admittedly a tongue teaser, but excessive alliteration aside, we?ve fallen hook, line and sinker for the newest collaboration from Pretty Polly. To begin with, they gave us Henry Holland and the ultra sassy suspender tights that have never left our wardrobes, but now intent with expanding their fashion horizons, the British superbrand have joined forces with the ultra-cool creative brand Patternity. Determined to make the world a better place with one pattern at a time, pattern obsessed Patternity (the clue is in the name really) have lent their print expertise to a small collection of tights, combining fabulous design with gorgeous quality.
Kicking off the trio of patterned delights is the ?Bricking It Tights?. Bold and beautiful, these are the definition of statement tights.? Equal parts chic and achingly cool, the opaque tights feature a quirky brickwork pattern that runs throughout, with sheer panels revealing a glimpse of leg below. Perhaps a shock for the pattern phobic amongst us, believe us when we say they?re oh so simple to style. The trick is to keep the rest of your ensemble (accessories included!) understated, letting your legs take centre stage. For outfit inspiration, look to Anna Murray who is one of the brains behind Patternity, as she styled her Bricking It Tights with leather shorts, a slouchy blazer and on trend fedora hat.
Brickwork not your thing? Break the mould and give your everyday tights a run for their money with the graphic Tower Block Tights. With a distinct tribal vibe, these feature a ?stacked? geometric vertical pattern, perfect for lengthening legs and getting every head turning. For the pattern weary, we recommend teaming with a simple skater skirt and tee, allowing your hemline to control how much print your reveal. The more adventurous out there can introduce a little clashing pattern through nifty accessories, making collecting fashion kudos as easy as ABC.
Completing the trio are the Shape Shifter Tights, which take look-at-me legs to a whole new level. On trend and treading the line between fashion and art, the graphic tights are anything but understated. By using flattering nude panels in between the bold shapes, you?re able to fake that flawless skin tone without having to lift a finger. What?s more, these are chic enough to wear to the office and bar, set to become the new talking point around the water fountain. Hooray!
So whether you?re new to the world of pattern or a veteran of print, treat to your wardrobe to one (or all three) and soak up that cool kudos.
