Patterned Tights Styles We’re Loving

Patterned tights have been making a comeback recently, at Coachella, on the red carpet, and even in the yoga studio, and we’ve narrowed down our top five styles you can incorporate into your daily wardrobe.

1. Baroque

Baroque tights add a girly touch to your plain sheer black tights.  The velvet design on ones like the Jonathan Aston Carmen Tights and the opulent design on the Pamela Mann Baroque Tulle Tights add dimension and body to your outfit.  Pair them with a simple black dress or go bold and wear it with a dark turquoise skirt with black booties.  Keep the rest of the outfit and accessories simple to keep the focus on your legs (oh la la!).

2. Printed Suspender Tightspamela-mann-paris-suspender-tights

Suspender tights are harder to pull off but with the right outfit, you can achieve a subtly sexy look.  We love the Pamela Mann Big Heart Sheer Suspender Tights’ flirty heart design at the top.  These add enough of a pattern to your outfit without overwhelming it.  The sheerness will keep you from looking like a primary-school girl while the opaqueness will prevent you from looking too raunchy.  These can be paired with high-waisted shorts and a simple blouse to keep the focus on the pattern.

3. Skyline

Whether you’re traveling the globe or commuting to work, skyline printed tights add just enough va va voom to your outfit to change up your daily look while maintaining professionalism.  We love Pamela Mann’s New York Skyline Tights and Paris Skyline Tights.  The sheer thigh section is perfect to have peek out from under a dark purple skirt and add an edgy look to your everyday wardrobe.

4. Tattoo

Ever wondered what you would look like with leg tattoos? Well now you can see for yourself with tattoo tights.  Those like the Jonathan Aston Gaya Tights  have a full sheer leg with a black tiger design near the ankle and are perfect for a night out.  For a more all-over tattooed look, try our Pamela Mann Floral Tattoo Tights.  These will make your legs look fierce and delicate at the same time with their intricate dragon and flower designs.

5. Animal Print

Take a walk on the wild side with animal printed leggings.  We love the Trasparenze Spirit Leggings.  These are thick enough to be worn as bottoms with a high-low, simple, black loose t-shirt and comfortable enough to wear on a shopping day or whilst running errands.

Whether you’re drawn to flirty floral patterns or wild animal prints, we hope we’ve helped you spice up your legwear.  Comment below with the style you’re dying to try!

Street Style – May ’14

We’ve all been there, thinking: “wow I love those patterned tights! But what could I wear them with?” It’s a common conundrum, being surrounded by so much choice, so it always helps to have the assistance of certain style gurus on hand. These two looks will give you plenty of inspiration for your hosiery wardrobe.

The first of our lovely fashionistas is Gisela, while visiting New York, she took a stroll in her Pretty Polly & Patternity Bricking It Tights in 80/20 denier – what better way is there to stand out in this fashion forward city? To copy this look team these tights with denim shorts, a sleeveless NYC top, a scarlet satchel and ankle boots.

If you’re a huge fan of the Big Apple then why not also check out the New York Skyline Tights from Pamela Mann in 50/20 denier. These fashion tights put a fun twist on that mock suspender style by including motifs of famous New York landmarks on the tops.

Now take a look at the fabulous competition winner Jane Postlethwaite in her animal print tights and matching burgundy ensemble complete with gold shoes. Burgundy, gold and tan all compliment each other beautifully while the animal print tights go seamlessly with her patterned scarf for a matchy-matchy style. For a similar look, combine the Jonathan Aston Wild Tights in 20 denier along with a patterned oxblood red and metallic skirt, plain shirt and burgundy scarf. Alternatively go for the Trasparenze Adventure Tights in 100 denier with their chic panel design featuring half black opaques and half animal print for a flattering take on this fierce style.

We hope that you have found inspiration for new ensembles to go along with your patterned tights!

Hosiery Must Haves for AW13!

With cooler temperatures comes to the need to revamp your wardrobe, which can only mean one thing. New hosiery! ?Any excuse to update my collection is fine by me, but it seems that this year, AW13 trends are stronger than ever. Purse friendly and space effective (leaving more room for shoes!), on trend legwear is a must for anyone wanting to stay ahead of the fash pack.

Autumnal Hosiery at MyTights

Top of the trends this time round is colour blocking. Bright and fun, colour pop hosiery is perfect for defeating grey skies and gloomy moods in seconds. Seen at Anna Sui and Vivienne Westwood, the key is to pull the shade through the entire outfit, roping in accessories to make the look wearable. Of course, top to toe is far from subtle, so it?s important to graduate the tone, mixing textures and finishes for a grown up colour block. I personally love brown tights as a soft alternative to black, but for a look inspired by Anna Sui, treat your hosiery drawer to a red hued opaque, just like the Trasparenze Gennifer Merino Wool Tights in Rubino or even the Jonathan Aston 40D Opaques in Scarlet. Rouge not your cup of tea?

Discover your favourite shade from our range coloured tights (we got more than 60 colours!) and build your outfit from there. If you?re still struggling to embrace the all in one shade, then let shoes & bags echo your choice of colour instead, leaving a black shift dress to tie in the colour.

And from rainbow tints to jungle fever, it seems that the fashion world can?t get enough of animal print this season. From zebra print at Burberry to leopard print at Jean Paul Gaultier, the safari inspired pattern is the simplest way to jazz up an understated LBD or tired pencil skirt. For those who covet the leg limelight, opt for the Animalia Tights from Wolford. A favourite of mine, the luxurious and loud semi-opaques are a combination of leopard-like squiggles and tiger inspired stripes. Complete with a super soft feel that is to be expected with Wolford tights, these are great for teaming with a black mini skirt and simple polo neck. For those seeking a subtler approach, the Legend Leggings from Trasparenze are a must. Admittedly a tad risqu? from first impressions, the fierce leggings are easily tamed with some clever styling, letting you dress them up or down depending on the occasion.

JAutumnal Hosiery at MyTights

Completing the trio of trends is just about anything netted. From socks to tights to even gloves (yes, gloves!), designers and stylists alike have fallen for fishnet tights. With heavyweight names such as YSL and Jean Paul Gaultier embracing the style, I think it?s high time for a re-stock of my favourite products.? For those seeking an everyday pair, I recommend the gorgeous Levante Fishnet Tights. With a matte finish and no visible reinforcement to hinder wardrobe decisions (these are already durable enough on their own merits!), these are great. Going under every hemline without a hitch, these are perfect for dancers and performers too. For a little more flair, treat your wardrobe to the Margaret Tights from Oroblu. Packed full of charm and a quirky cut out detail, the netted tights are a flirty take on the classic design.? Simply team with a hemline that will frame the cut out and keep accessories minimal.

If you?re still craving more AW inspiration, tartan and leather are also hotly tipped for the season. For tartan tips when it comes to hosiery, read my Laura?s Choice from last week. Fans of the leather look needn?t fret either, as the Leather Look Leggings by Pamela Mann offer a high drama dose of the style. A firm favourite of the red carpet elite, leather leggings look fab when worn under an oversized jumper or, for the more adventurous, with a cropped blazer.
Until next time!So there you have it! The easiest way to update your wardrobe, without upsetting your bank balance…

Festival Hosiery ? The Good, The Bad and The Muddy!

That?s right ladies, that time of the year has arrived and it?s time to pack away those muddy wellies as the festival season leaves us for the year, taking with it hazy memories of seeing your favourite band and attempting to construct (and re-build) that tent.

Naturally, we?ve taken the opportunity to round up our favourite hosiery looks, as we comb through the endless fabulous outfits and we?ve spotted quite a few celebrities debuting their impressive legwear collection too! From Reading and Leeds to Glasto, we?ve come up our top three looks, making sure that when festival season revisits next year, you?ll have that head start.

Festival style!

To begin with, we adored the way that Jameela Jamil embraced animal print at V Festival. By teaming her jungle themed opaques with quirky accesories and a simple LBD, the Radio One presenter and model showed us all that she had her finger on the fashion pulse and we can?t wait to try it out ourselves. For an exact match that will work on and off fields, try teaming the Jonathan Aston Wild Tights with an oversized clutch, stepping into this season?s ankle boot for an edgy touch. For those craving one more print to add to their wardrobe, why not treat legs to the luxurious Mystery Leggings from Trasparenze, packed full of a sassy snakeskin print.

Next on our wish list was original Sugababe Mutya?s tribute to all things lacy. Equal parts charming and chic, the style savvy singer made sure to readdress the girly vs grungy balance, teaming her black lace tights with an oversized baseball jersey and lace up boots.? Just as dramatic and even more luxurious are the Wolford Victorienne Tights, which feature an elaborate floral design that runs throughout the open net fabric. However, if you?re after a softer and more subtle look that you can wear to the office, we suggest the Scroll Net Tights from Charnos. Decadent and dashing, the fancy scroll detail will never overwhelm outfits (perfect for those weary of pattern) and will look gorgeous when styled with a simple shift dress and quilted pumps.

And last but by no means least, Louise from London based reality show Made In Chelsea has shown us all that socks are still very much an essential for any happy camper, showing us that no wellington boot is complete without a cosy and chic pair! Opting for a classic, goes-with-everything black over knee pair, the pint sized socialiate collected fashion brownie points, customising hers with gold studs. If you?re a fan of that over knee style, then make sure to stock up on the Pamela Mann Over Knee Socks. Available in four fabulous shades for even more fun, these create a bold leg silhouette, delivering a snug fit and cosy feel.? For a party appropriate alternative, then the Lurex Highball Overknee Socks from Pamela Mann are just the ticket, working to inject a little shimmer into that jersey dress or skater skirt.

So whether you?ve a penchant for lace or refuse to surrender your long socks, take solace in the fact that we have another twelve months to perfect that festival and field friendly look…!

Style File: Jameela Jamil and her festival tights!

So the festival season is coming to an end and DJ-come-style-icon Jameela Jamil has made sure that thanks to her choice of hosiery, it finishes with a flourish. Making an appearance at the glamorous V Festival (with Beyonce headlining, it was going to be nothing short of fabulous), the gorgeous 27 year old has clearly perfected her festival style, achieving a balance between all things pretty and practical. Oversized parka in case of torrential downpour? Tick. Sassy sunglasses for when the weather cheers up? Tick. Animal print tights for fashion kudos? Double tick.Animal Print!

Proving that festivals don?t always mean muddy wellies and socks, the quirky Radio One DJ teamed her ruffled mini dress with a pair of fetching printed tights. A tribute to the trend that?s set to invade our wardrobes this season, animal print hosiery is the easiest and most commitment free way to get involved. Whether you?re a lover of leopard or crave subtle snake print to finish off that outfit, we?ve got the ultimate selection to choose from.

For a look just like Miss Jamil?s, treat your hosiery collection to the Wild Tights by Jonathan Aston. Available in two different colour combinations (nude with a black print and black with a black print), the exotic animal print is perfect for adding a little interest to understated dresses and skirts. Using both sheer and opaque fabric, an eye catching leopard print runs from the toes to the waist, making for a cheeky alternative to those everyday sheer tights. With a loyal celebrity fan base too (including the likes of Pixie Lott and the Kardashians), these have just moved to the top of our lust have list this season!

how to make money as a teenager

If you?re still coveting animal print but can?t bear to part with your cosy leggings, we?ve got some good news. Knowing all too well that when the temperatures plummets we turn to anything that can conserve heat, Italian brand Trasparenze have created the luxurious & lovely Mystery Leggings. As soft as they are smooth, these combine that snug feeling that leggings do so well with a slinky snakeskin effect. Demure enough for you to wear to work but with a sartorial edge that makes them party appropriate, it?s safe to say we?re big fans. Likewise, the Legend Leggings from the brand pay homage to the big cats of the animal kingdom, with a faux denim print and leopard print fade.? Team with a cropped leather jacket and Chelsea boots for complete festival chic.

Jameela Jamil, we want your wardrobe!

Fash Clash!

There are certain fashion rules that we all live to and adhere by. Only wear one type of animal print at a time. Don’t wear white after Labour day. You shouldn’t wear pink with red…or can you?

We’ve noticed an up

cialis buy

rise within the

acquisto cialis generico in italia

fashion world, as designers and stylists take delight in breaking rules and throwing them out of the metaphoric window. Pure anarchy and pure brilliance. However, we hasten to add that perhaps only one fashion rule should be broken at a time! First things first – pink versus red. These two shades have been separated since birth, as the fashion bible dictated that such rosy hues should never meet in one ensemble. We say otherwise though, and indie magazine TANK has the proof, with their 60′s inspired colour block creation.

By combining coloured tights with a cute shift dress & kitten heel combo, we’ve fallen for the vibrant, rule breaking charms of it all. Breaking up the scarlet shades, a pop of  bubblegum pink has been added, in the shape of the Jonathan Aston 40D Opaque Tights. To get the style spot on, go for the Candy Pink shade. For fans of a more demure look, choose a slightly darker pink tone. The African Violet or Cerise shade from the Pamela Mann 3D 50 Denier Tights looks fab pared with a richer red. And when the weather warms up? Switch from opaques to sheers, with the Jonathan Aston 15 Denier Coloured Sheers, keeping true to the pink vs red revolution.

Breaking rules has never been so much fun!
