The Girls Are Back in Town!

That’s right, our favourite five piece since the Backstreet Boys are back to what they do best and have kicked off their reunion tour with a bang. Complete with sequins, glitter and some rather strange feathered wings, the girls have joined forces once more to give fans an anniversary show to remember. Starting off in Newcastle, it’s clear they’ve set the standards high for the rest of the eight week tour. But it wasn’t the harmonies or Cheryl’s (questionable) new back tattoo we were focused on…it was Nicola Robert’s arms!

Looking fabulous and fierce, the girls changed into metallic basque style dresses and nude fishnets for a part of their set, proving just why they’re an office favourite. It was only then that we noticed that the 27 year old fashionista (and close confidante of designer Henry Holland) was modelling none other than some armery! Possibly one of the most forward thinking uses of hosiery fabric yet, armery was created for those of us who want to keep our arms under wraps when out and about. Great for layering underneath dresses and tees for a faux long sleeve, they add warmth and coverage to any ensemble. What’s more, you can style them over strapless & sleeveless dresses if you’re mindful of feeling too exposed.

It seems Nicola has done just this, adding a chic black number to complement her stage ensemble. To

get the redhead’s savvy style, try the Mary Portas & Charnos Plain Armery. With four fab shades to choose from, including Nicole’s black, there is an armery option  for every wardrobe. Whether you wish to match or clash, let the hosiery sleeves sculpt & define your arms for a stage worthy look.

And if you have a penchant for pattern, these clever sleeves also come in a fishnet version and a floral one too!

So take your cue from the pop princesses themselves and get the look now, back tattoos not compulsory…

Hot Spots: New ways to work the spots trend…

Everyone has gone spot crazy this season, thanks to the Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney AW 11 catwalks, so we’ve spent all season with our eyes peeled for all the latest spotty designs.  We’ve seen the classic polka dot design on everything from bags to shoes to dogs (ok, so we were watching 101 Dalmations) and everything in between.  Then we began to notice a new sub-trend forming, full of quirky and exciting new ways to wear spotted hosiery, and realised that this is a great way to sport a trend without looking like everyone else out there.  Here are our favourite new ways to work the spotty trend…

Oversized

Both Fearne Cotton and Cheryl Cole have been spotted in spots – dress them down à la Fearne by pairing Pamela Mann’s Oversized spot tights with denim cut offs and a cosy scarf, or get the Cheryl Cole Spotty Tights from Wolford and team with a monochrome outfit for a sophisticated take on big spots.

Embellished

Embellished tights are a great way to add a touch of glamour to plainer outfits.  Look Magazine recommends teaming Henry Holland Pearly Suspender Tights (see below left) with bright accessories on a night out for maximum wow factor!  Alternatively, try the Brigitte Tights from Charnos’ 75th Anniversary Collection, featuring Swarovski crystals mingling with polka dots – incredibly luxurious style that will look great for any occasion!

Colourful

Try adding a pop of colour to the style to get an eye catching design perfect for parties!  Try the Oroblu Milly Hold Ups (pictured above right) for a fun and quirky way to work a splash of colour, which are available with red, camel, white or teal spots – or for a pared down take on the trend, grab a pair of the Mary Portas & Charnos Sheer Spot Tights in Indigo.

P.S. Don’t worry if you still like the classic style – Look Magazine reckons you can work that look to perfection too.  Simply mix with other sheers for a super luxe feel and a look perfect for the office.

If you’re undecided, check out our entire range of spotty tights for the right spots for you.

Cheryl Cole Goes Dotty!

Cheryl Cole is our kind of woman.  Following a rough ride over the last year, she’s back… looking better than ever!  With newly blonde locks and showing off her amazing legs in Wolford Bonny Dots Tights, you would never guess the terrible time she has had.

Made from 20 denier sheer hosiery and with opaque polka dots, you can get these Cheryl Cole Tights today from MyTights.  Not just similar tights – the EXACT ones she’s wearing.  Not only are spots the hottest print around this season, it never really goes out of fashion – and tights from a luxury brand like Wolford means they will last through the seasons!

We recommend following Cheryl’s lead and teaming these tights with a stark monochrome look to really enhance the pattern and to keep the look high end and sophisticated.  Try the tuxedo look by teaming a white shirt in luxe fabrics like silks and chiffons with hotpants (gulp!) or a slightly more forgiving pencil skirt if you are curve-conscious.  Or for a girlier take on the look, try short dresses with peter pan collars, and finish the look with leather or suede accessories like box clutches and loafers.

Cheryl is already a confirmed fan of Wolford tights.   When she wore Bondage Tights on the X Factor, everyone went crazy for them and they became a nationwide sellout, with those who missed out having to settle for copies. So we recommend you grab a pair while you still can!

Fans of Cheryl’s look can also check out a range of tights inspired by Cheryl’s style in our selection of Cheryl Cole Tights.

There’s no doubt about it – Cheryl is a style queen.  Get the look today with these Wolford beauties from MyTights – while you still can!

How to do… Bondage Tights

When we saw this picture of these Jonathan Aston Casino bondage tights that we supplied for a shoot in More magazine we knew immediately they were going to be HUGE news this season.  With Cheryl Cole and Jessie J spotted in similar styles not too long ago, they are the perfect accessory for the fetish trend this season.  They’re enough to make anyone feel an urge to get to the gym IMMEDIATELY (yes, even us) – but the good news is they are a really simple and inexpensive way to update your wardrobe.  To stop us from thinking about when the last time we went to the gym actually was (c.2007) we’ve rounded up the top three ways to do bondage tights…

1)      Rock Chick – The key to this grunge luxe look is black, black, black.  Team short black skirts with leather jackets and baggy t-shirts, and finish with clunky biker boots and mussed up hair to stop it from looking too ‘done’.

2)      Chic Casual – Proving that the fetish trend can work for daytime, layer shorts over the tights and top with slouchy jumpers or plain white t-shirts and chunky knit cardigans.  Flat boots are a must, and to make the look even more relaxed pile your hair up into a messy high bun.

3)      Fetish on Fetish – This look takes a very brave fashionista indeed, but when it works it looks IN-CREDIBLE.  Team the tights with leather and finish with leopard print accessories.  We’ve seen a few leather dresses on the high street recently – if you go for a slightly longer hemline than usual and keep the cut and shape of it simple and clean you will keep the look glamorous, not trashy.

The bondage tights pictured are from Jonathan Aston, but the new collections from Oroblu and Trasparenze also have some great fetish-inspired pieces.  Happy shopping!  We’re off to the gym.  No, really…

Cheryl Cole: Style Queen

Looking back over past year– there is one lady that seems to have made 2010 her own.  Since her well publicized split from Ashley Cole, there is no doubt her celebrity stock has risen.  Add that to a successful album, the whiff of a new romance and a sure footed sense of style and you have the ingredients for a star in serious ascendance. I’ve taken some time to look back over some of Cheryls style triumphs in 2010.

Stage Cheryl

Her influence reaches far beyond a few tabloid headlines.  Earlier this year MyTights.com felt the effects of the “Cheryl Factor” when she wore the, now famous, Wolford Bondage Tights during performances of her single “Promise This”.  Following her performance on the X Factor, our phone practically rang off the hook with enquiries from eager customers desperate to get the same look.  Sadly, the Wolford Bondage Tights have totally sold out.  Never fear, MyTights.com has come to the rescue with some perfect alternatives which will still give legs a little of Cheryl’s star quality.  But you’ll need to be quick – they are selling fast!

Wolford have released a new version of the bondage tights that is set to be another fashion sensation. The Wolford Hero Tights feature interwoven fabric ribbons which criss cross the leg and end at the mid-thigh, just like the Bondage Tights. The addition of a stylised back seam give these tights an even sexier edge.  Coupled with the quality and comfort that is synonymous with Wolford you cannot go wrong with these  luxury fashion tights.

For something more affordable, renowned fashion hosiery brand Pamela Mann have just released their Straparound Tights.  With a similar criss cross detail down the leg as the original bondage tights, these are a steal at a mere £14.95.

Off Duty Cheryl

online work from home

She’s expected to look glamorous on stage but Cheryl always looks good even when she is seemingly off duty.  With so many hungry camera lenses this girl cannot afford to let her style slip for a second!

Leather jacket might look tough (note the super on trend shearling collar) but Cheryl has made sure she still looks feminine by teaming it with a little black dress and these dainty, sheer spotty tights.  You can get the same look with these Gerbe Plumetis Spotty Tights.  As if you needed further proof of their high fashion credentials, these tights were featured in Vogue earlier this year.

Alternatively, and for a super feminine take on this look, Pamela Mann has created these super cute Sheer Bows Tights.

Finally, no one does ladylike like Cheryl.  This coat has a slight military feel to it but to stop it looking too formal clever Cheryl has added some funky tights and a pair of sky high heels to give a little hint of what we can only assume is a super hot outfit underneath.  We can’t help you out with the coat and the shoes I’m afraid but our selection of lace tights will give a similar oomph to your outfit with elegant design. She’s also frequently seen sporting the natural sheer leg look, so if you want to get your legs out but want a more even and flawless effect, try our light beige pretty polly sheer tights.

If the rumors are to be believed, 2011 will see Cheryl attempt to conquer the US – her natural sense of style will be an important part of her success on the other side the Atlantic.  We can’t wait to see what she pulls out of the bag in 2011!

The Sun – 27/10/10

Wolford‘s Bondage tights have flown off the shelves since Cheryl Cole wore them during her performance of “Promise This” on this Sunday night’s X-Factor. But don’t worry if you missed out, because The Sun have come up with some fabulous alternatives!

After her “zebra-patterned tights” become a talking point all week, The Sun have taken a look at all the “bright and interesting legwear available this season as a way of styling up our winter wardrobes”. Taking inspiration from Fearne Cotton, Lady GaGa, Agyness Deyn and Pixie Lott they show us the best tights out there, including our very own Wolford Leopard Tights, Wolford Fence Tights, Pamela Mann Opaque Tights, Henry Holland Bandana Tights, and Jonathan Aston’s Large Spot Tights. Get the Look: Cheryl Cole and Wolford Bondage Tights

After what has been a tumultuous year for the Girls Aloud singer and X-Factor judge, Cheryl Cole is back to form and preparing to drop her second album into the charts this November with the first single already having its first airplay. The single called Promise This was first played on Radio 1 last week and now her music video has gone viral. The video was directed by the talented Sophie Muller who has previously worked with Pop and Indie sensations Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Kings Of Leon.

Cheryl’s debut song from her next album has a faster beat to what we have come to expect from the singer but it’s delightfully poppy at the same time. We won’t be surprised to see her do a live performance of her single on The X-Factor soon!

In the fast paced video Cheryl Cole wears various ensembles, including a transformation from an all black outfit styled with an austere blazer and Wolford’s Bondage Tights (see the Cheryl  picture) into a delicate ballerina. The glam-goth style outfit is a surprising winner for the star. With tightly swept-up hair and dark, moody make-up the Wolford Bondage Tights is a perfect addition to her outfit.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to phenomenal demand this limited edition product has now sold out nationwide. However we do have some great alternatives, including Wolford’s SS11 version – the Wolford Hero Tights and Pamela Mann’s Straparound Tights. View Cheryl Cole Bondage Style Tights.

If you are a Cheryl fan and love her style or you simply love Wolford’s tights we still have some of these tights in stock! So you will need to grab them fast as they are selling out quickly! You don’t need to be a celebrity to wear these fantastic wrap-round bandage “mock hold ups” tights either. Emulate Cheryl and dare to bare by styling the Wolford Bondage Tights with high-waisted pants by Spanx or Aristoc Bodytoners and a smart, structured blazer or alternatively use them to toughen up your casual daywear for an instantly stylish look.
