We all know and love Wolford’s large selection of hosiery, but did you know they also make the most fabulous bodies? In fact, a host of celebrities have been popping up all over sporting the styles, and it’s easy to see why. With the weather warming up, these products are perfect for creating a simple and polished look, whether layering beneath close fitting outfits or as an outfit accessory in their own right. Although these bodies don’t come cheap, we’re of the opinion that they’re worth every penny. A timeless (not to mention versatile) addition to your wardrobe, they’ll stand the test of time and are unmistakably Wolford.
Kim Kardashian has always been a fan of figure hugging fashion, so it came as no surprise to us to see her in the Wolford Colorado String Body. Not only comfortable but versatile too, you can dress this up with a pencil skirt and heels or dress it down with jeans and a leather jacket depending on the event. The lack of seams also ensures a wonderfully smooth silhouette, just like Kim K herself.
Another celebrity trying out the trend is supermodel Daisy Lowe, who layered a simple black body beneath an eye catching sheer lace skirt. In our eyes, you can never go wrong with an all-black ensemble, so recreating this look is a must. Luckily, we have just the thing with the Wolford Berlin Body, finishing off the look with the Wolford Velvet De Luxe 50 Tights.
Not always known for her chic sartorial choices, Miley Cyrus has also been known to sport a Wolford body. Albeit on a photoshoot, the Wrecking Ball singer styled the Wolford Jamaika String Body with some patchwork denim and heels for a casual yet trendy look. Okay, so we might not wear the jeans ourselves, but the body is seriously stylish. For us, you can’t go wrong with a pair of black high waisted denim shorts and heeled boots.

Combining the saucyness of a suspender belt with the practicality and wearability of a pair of tights. Suspender tights are a hosiery revolution and it is also this season’s hottest trend! The height of cool and sported by every celebrity worth their salt – it seems you guys can’t get enough of them!
Designer and celebrity darling Henry Holland is undoubtedly the king of the suspender tights. Henry has one the most celebrity packed contact books in fashion and, despite his suspender creations gracing red carpets for some months now, the “Henry effect” shows no signs of abating. As if proof were needed, model of the moment, Daisy Lowe has been seen out and about recently in the funky House of Holland Bandana Suspender Tights which are a must have for that rock and roll look.
If you want to flash your sexy suspender tights – and lets face it thats the only way to wear these little beauties – then you can with the new Henry Holland Chain Suspenders. The eyecatching gold suspender strap effect is fun and flirty without being too outré. A little naughty perhaps but still safe enough for nice girls. These beauties have been spotted on countless celebrities including Pixie Lott (pictured), Una from The Saturdays, Tulisa from N-Dubz and the Strictly Come Dancing contestants!
The real prize this season, however, are the Henry Holland Super Suspender Tights. Bright young things such as Pixie Geldof and Frankie from the Saturdays have been spotted in them and customers have been clamouring for them as a result. These tights have sold out up and down the country but don’t despair – you can order your pair on the MyTights website for delivery in early December.
Don’t tell Henry but if you want your suspender tights fix before December then you can snap up these Pretty Polly Suspender Tights. Despite being a whole £4 cheaper they are still achingly cool and virtually indistinguishable from the Henry Hollands Super Suspender Tights sported by the likes of Pixie Lott and The Saturdays.
If detail is your thing then these Fuyo Tights from Trasparenze feature cute little mock attachments and adjustable loops which could fool someone into thinking they really are suspenders. With their pinstripe design down the leg you can get a look that is bang on trend but with a slight twist that will make you stand out from the crowd.
Suspender tights have been flying off the shelves and that’s because this is one celebrity trend that is not only super wearable but highly affordable. It is not often that you can add a bit of celebrity dazzle and designer chic to your wardrobe for less than £15 so grab them quickly before they are all gone.

Psst … Wanna know what the fash pack will be wearing this up and coming season? Of course you do! Some of you eagle-eyed hosiery addicts may already have spotted the new season designs on the models at the House of Holland autumn/winter 2010 show earlier this year, and on numerous of Henry’s friends at this years Glastonbury, so you’ll be thrilled to know they’re going to be part of Henry’s affordable collaboration with Pretty Polly. We were also lucky enough to mingle with Henry and his best friend Agyness Deyn at the London Fashion Week preview of the collection!
There’s lots to love in the new season lineup, and fans of Henry’s signature mock suspenders are in for a real treat as there are two hot new styles for autumn. First up, the Chain Suspender Tights, featuring a plain opaque leg to mid-thigh where it becomes sheer with chain-print suspenders! For the seriously attention-grabbing option, you’ll want the Bandana Suspender Tights – as seen on Daisy Lowe at Glastonbury! Sheer all over with a zig-zag suspender, the legs are printed with an exclusive Bandana design which will definitely make a statement for autumn.
If suspender tights aren’t really your thing, though, you’re in luck as the Bandana range comes in several different styles. As well as the mock suspenders, you can get the print on the all-over Bandana Tights, Bandana Over-The-Knee (tights with a mock OTK look) – as seen on Kelly Osbourne at Glastonbury – and our favourites, Bandaknee Tights, which have a sheer leg and a diamond-shaped bandana print on the knee. The Bandana range has already found itself a couple of A-list fans in Agyness Deyn (pictured) and popstar/model/style icon Sophie Ellis Bextor, who have both been spotted in the Bandana Tights.
Also getting in early on the autumn Henry Holland for Pretty Polly collection was Pixie Geldof, who we spotted at Glastonbury wearing two different pairs of the new season socks – the triple chain socks and the ball and chain socks. We also love the Elastocks: a plain black leg is finished at the top with an elastic band emblazoned with the House of Holland logo, so no-one will be in any doubt who designed your legwear! There are three different styles to choose from: a knee-high, an over-the-knee and a suspender version. We bet Pixie’s got all three, and we know you’ll want them all too!
Given the popularity of Henry’s previous designs for Pretty Polly, we predict a sell-out! Some of the designs are available to order now and make sure you check back soon to snap up the rest!
Once described by the Guardian’s Hadley Freeman as ‘the world’s muddiest catwalk’, this year’s Glastonbury Festival was held on the hottest weekend of the year so far with not a raincloud to be seen. But that didn’t stop all our favourite celebs from showing off their fashion savvy in an array of different hosiery looks.
Harry Potter star Emma Watson made the headlines for pairing a Louis Vuitton corset top with her denim cut-off shorts, but it was her stylish yet sensible welly boots and over-the-knee socks combo that caught our eye. Prepared for the possibility of rain, but not risking ‘welly rash’ with bare legs in her rain boots, over-the-knee socks like Emma’s are a festival essential. We love Pamela Mann’s Over Knee Socks and Striped Over Knee Socks, in a range of colours to tone with any outfit – even a Louis Vuitton corset!
Festival lover Pixie Geldof also wore knee high socks throughout the weekend at Glastonbury, but as one of Henry Holland’s closest friends, Pixie has already got her hands on next season’s Henry Holland for Pretty Polly knee highs and paired two different styles with thigh-skimming shorts and skirts and flat ankle boots. While we sadly can’t get next season’s HH for PP early for you (but keep your eyes peeled later this year!), we have still got this season’s styles in stock, so bag yourself a pair of super-stylish tights now and wear them to the festivals that might not be so lucky with the weather.
Fishnets were the surprise hit of the weekend, though, with Kates Moss and Nash both hanging out backstage in shorts and fishnet tights. Ms Moss chose a holey black pair under her denim shorts while Kate Nash wore subtle flesh-coloured fishnets with her ultra-colourful shirt and shorts outfit. Fishnets are a great idea for summer festivals as they’ll add an element of rock’n’roll edge to any outfit without making you hot. Get the look with Levante’s Fishnet Tights in black or natural beige, or take a look at Pamela Mann’s Fishnet Tights in a whole rainbow of colours.
We also spotted hot model and music fan Daisy Lowe in this season’s hot hosiery trend, mock stockings. Daisy paired her cropped vest top and teeny-weeny denim shorts with a gorgeous black patterned pair, and you can get her look with the beautiful Trasparenze Ciprea tights, which feature a pretty lace mock stocking top and white polka dots on the leg. Or try Trasparenze’s Renella tights, which also have a beautiful stocking top pattern, plus mock suspender straps for seriously sexy festival style.
With plenty more festivals throughout the summer, take your inspiration from this year’s Glastonbury style stars and make super-cool tights and socks a part of your festival look.
With a host of celebs already flying the flag for the leotard, it’s no surprise that the high street is following suit and that you can get anything as long as it’s all-in-one this summer.
However, while Daisy Lowe and Pixie Lott may look fabulous in theirs, many girls get it wrong and end up looking more brassy ’80s barmaid than Lady GaGa.
Eleanor Glover from the Daily Mail’s fashion section reckons that the leotard can look really show-stopping on a night out – as long as you’ve got the pins for it and you pair yours with the correct hosiery!
“Just team [leotards] with a pair of black tights and high heels, not forgetting plenty of attitude, and you’re good to go,” she urges.
And in case you had thought about ignoring her advice, she has provided a helpful picture of how not to dress on the website courtesy of Jordan.
The model recently sported a sequined leotard that was cut eye-wateringly high with bare legs, leaving the world in no doubt as to the status of her bikini line.
If you don’t want to look like that, make sure you head to MyTights.com and get hold of some dark or black opaque tights such as those from Pretty Polly before you don your all-in-one.
Daisy Lowe helped the launch of her mum’s new clothing range go with a bang at the weekend after she attracted the paps in a sexy outfit that included over the knee socks.
The model, whose mum is designer Pearl Lowe, brought her DJ boyfriend Will Blondelle along as she headed to London’s Mahiki in a monochrome dress designed to look like a basque and suspenders, thigh-high socks and black patent high heels.
Her outfit showed off her enviable figure and highlighted a great alternative to tights for spring and summer outfits.
Daisy has just landed her own show on MTV, so hopefully we’re going to see more of her lovely legwear in the coming months!
Female First has also recently highlighted over the knee socks as a trend for 2009, saying that it offers a “schoolgirl gone bad” style that can look great with dresses and short skirts.
Jonathan Aston makes a great range of over the knee socks in an array of different colours. Check out MyTights.com for a closer look.
Christina Aguilera embraced the nouveau-1980s look this week – and stole the show at Perez Hilton’s birthday party.
The diva sported big hair, a leotard and fishnets with black boots as she sang Lady Marmalade for the celebrity blogger at the Viper Room in LA.
However, she brought the outfit up to date with a diamante-studded belt to cinch in her tiny waist. The all-in-one was also leopard print – one of the hottest trends just now – and similar styles have been worn by a number of other celebrities, including Daisy Lowe.
Perez, now 31, looked very pleased with the show – and the bevy of bare-chested male dancers – as he posed for photos later on.
Meanwhile, former Spice girl Mel B has told Gloucestershire paper the Citizen how pleased she is with rehearsals for her cabaret play Peepshow, in which she has to dance in fishnets and a tiny thong.
“If they’d told me I would be doing this a few weeks ago I would have screeched, ‘Hell no!’” she enthused.
