Oroblu SS15: The Best Of!

Oroblu Bouquet Leggings

Oroblu Bouquet Leggings

Each and every one of the brands we stock at MyTights.com are unique in their own way, so we’re always intrigued to see how our brands translate the catwalk trends into their new collections. One brand that never let us down is Oroblu, and it just so happens that we recently received a long-awaited delivery of their SS15 collection!

As we’re sure you eagle-eyed hosiery fans have noticed, the new range launched on the website across the last couple of days, and you’re in for a real treat. Oroblu are brilliant at taking a classic style and putting their own spin on it, creating fashion-forward hosiery that’s always a cut above the rest, which is instantly clear from the new range. And with leggings, socks, hold ups and tights in the mix, every single one of our lovely customers can enjoy some sophisticated Italian styling this summer. Here are our top picks:

1) Oroblu Bouquet Leggings  - as fashions come and go, some have a real knack of staying around. One such fashion is floral, and these leggings offer them in abundance. Ascending up the leg, the mix of pretty petals and leaves are great for adding some femininity and glamour into an otherwise casual look. Ideal for jazzing up your longline tees or equally forming part of your party look, we have a feeling we’ll be wearing these A LOT across the coming months.

Oroblu April Tights

2) Oroblu April Tightsfishnets are undergoing something of a style revolution of late – they just seem to be everywhere! No complaints from us, but for a particularly fashionable pair, these classic net tights are joined by a gorgeous side seam with an unusual tricot effect. MyTights founder Laura is a big fan!

3) Oroblu Luna Footprotectors these gorgeous foot liners epitomise Oroblu to a tee. Taking something as standard as a footprotector and making it into a high-end fashion accessory, the mix of net, floral lace and scallop edge make these a must-have in our eyes.

Oroblu Candice Long Pants

4) Oroblu Addison Tights a trick we always stick to is layering some sheers beneath fishnet tights to stay current and on-trend without compromising on warmth. Killing two birds with one stone, these brilliant fashion tights have an interlinking diamond pattern against an elegant sheer base, creating the illusion of nets and giving us all a new essential.

5) Oroblu Candice Long Pants finishing with something a little different, these fitted pants give the look of cropped trousers, but with the stretch and comfort as leggings. Sounds like the perfect marriage in our eyes!

Spring/Summer 2012: Everything you need to know about the Top Trends this season…

MyTights.com was lucky enough to attend an event last week where we heard a talk from Jessica Markwood, of fashion website osoyou.com, on the key trends for SS12.  We’ve pulled together a round-up of the key trends this season and how to wear them…

This spring it’s not just about the trend for florals that comes round each year (although hang on to your floral accessories to team with pastel basics).  But there are new, bolder prints around, such as abstract graphics and scarf print, as well as quirky tropical prints.

Hurah!  It’s time to dig out your drop waist dresses again, because the 1920s is back for another season.  For the ultra-hip, you might want to try the pajama look for a new take on the 1920s trend.  Or if you’re not quite there, 1920s staples like embellishment, fringing and super-luxe fabrics like chiffon and silk in neutral colours like pale gold and dusty pink will do the trick nicely, too.

This trend can be quite tricky to pull off if you don’t really know what you’re doing, but once you get the idea it’s really easy.  Just think clean lines and lots of white with flashes of neon and sports fabrics, but don’t go overboard.  For example, perk up a beautifully cut white linen shift with Emilio Cavallini’s Neon Seamed Sheers – and get some high we

dge trainers to make the look work for day and night.

Tribal comes back every summer and so it’s a great trend to invest in, rather than going for cheap basics.  Tribal inspired prints look great when layered with white cotton and tan leather – and old season maxi dresses/skirts, waistcoats and peasant blouses can all be dug out for another round in the fashion ring.

This surreal trend is perhaps the most exciting this season, partly thanks to Karl Lagerfeld’s amazing sea-scape at the Chanel SS 12 show.  With this trend, you can (finally!) rock sequins for daytime – blue and silver work best – and team them with pale pastel colours in sheer, chiffony fabrics.  And anything with pearls goes – as demonstrated by the Chanel models’ pearl belts, necklaces and hairpins.  Romantic spring styling at its best!

Get the Look: The Bebaroque Tigerlily 80 Denier Tights are sparkly and perfect in purple for creating an underwater vibe, or to modernise the pearl trend take a look at the Henry Holland Pearly Suspender Tights.  Failing that, anything in blue or silvery grey will complete your look to perfection!
