Recently we’ve noticed something strange… our favourite celebs are shunning the try hard, ultra glam looks of previous seasons and rocking our favourite trends with chic, understated charm. This is the new sexy – so learn from the stars and balance your favourite statement trends with some casual styling.
Made in Chelsea’s Caggie Dunlop was spotted generic name for flagyl ages ago ahead of the pack, dressing down her suspender tights with denim cut offs and a baggy t-shirt. This was swiftly followed by Vanessa Hudgens, who teamed her patterned hold ups with a scarf print dress, floppy hat and wellies at Coachella a few weeks back, channelling hippy chic and working laid back sexy to perfection. Even better, this look is so easy to pull together at home – just team a pair of stockings or hold ups with your denim shorts and favourite slouchy jumper.
Those two aren’t the only ones at it, either. Caggie’s Made in Chelsea castmates (past and present) seem t
o have picked up on the trend. First Chloe Green, daughter of Sir Philip Green, stepped out looking super hot in a black dress with black leather jacket and animal print tights. A dash of animal print is perfect for adding a sexy finishing touch to a plainer look – just make sure you keep it to one statement piece or it can look OTT.
Then just a few days ago Made in Chelsea’s Amber Atherton rocked up to the World Premiere of The Dictator showing of miles of legs, covered in spotty tights. Showing she knows her fashion rules, she balanced out having her legs on show by wearing a high necked t-shirt under a conservative cropped jacket, and stuck to monochrome.
This new look might take some restraint if you’re tempted to bare more than normal because of the weather, but we can guarantee it’ll be worth it when you’ve got the most sophisticated look in town!
Fans of “Structured Reality” shows are all too aware of the growing rivalry between TOWIE and Made in Chelsea. Both shows have exploded onto the scene, and whether you avidly watched Mark Wright conquer the jungle in last year’s I’m A Celeb or find yourself keeping tabs on the Millie Mackintosh/Professor Green romance, there’s no denying some of the girls from both shows have real style. And some don’t. We decided to fan the flames of rivalry by comparing some of their hosiery fashion choices…
Fashion tights can be daunting if you’re not sure how to wear them but both Made in Chelsea’s Chloe Green and Towie’s Jess Wright pulled off the look with ease. For a girly style, go for embellished tights like Jess, but we LOVE Chloe’s animal print tights, LBD and leather jacket combo that she was spotted in walking around London recently.
Winner: Made in Chelsea
Caggie Dunlop sadly said goodby to MIC last series, but not before she showed us how to rock buy cheap generic levitra
_medium=blog” target=”_blank”>suspender tights for a casual daytime look. Dressing her hosiery down with baggy washed out denim and a chunky knit scarf was inspired. However, Towie’s Maris Fowler made jaws drop when she stepped out in a chic, understated combo of suspender tights, beige cocktail shorts and a simple black vest top. Who knew?
Why do some girls find footless tights and leggings so difficult buy 25mg viagra to wear? The rules are simple – ALWAYS team with a long top, tunic or dress unless you are 100% confident about your body from every angle, and wet look leggings must not be accompanied by leather. These rules seem to have bypassed the world of reality TV, though – Lauren Goodger stepped out in a supremely unflattering leggings and vest top outfit, while MIC’s Gabriella teamed her wet look leggings with black leather, black boots and, for some reason known only by her, rainbow coloured hair (See the pic here).
Winner: Neither – both looks are equally bad.
