Last Chance Christmas Shopping!

Perhaps you’re beginning to panic about getting all your gifts in time for the big day, or maybe you’re sitting smugly next to a pile of already-wrapped presents and just think you deserve a treat.  Whatever your level of preparation, we have lots of Christmassy delights in stock that you can still order in time for Christmas.  Read on to find out our top five festive essentials, or check out the entire Christmas Collection.

More magazine recommends the Celeste Stein Christmas Ornaments Tights, which are wacky enough to put a smile on the face of even the most miserly Scrooge.  They’re not just novelty tights exclusively for Christmas day, either- reduce the amount of leg on show by teaming with dresses and knee high boots and they’ll last you well into the year!  Also available in a glittery version for added festive sparkle.

The Charnos 75th anniversary collection makes the perfect present for mums, sisters and girlfriends – if you can stop yourself from unwrapping them for yourself, that is.  With a collection of three pairs of tights, two styles of hold ups and one stockings design, there’s lots of choice and they all come in adorable vintage style boxes, too.

For the man in your life, what could be more traditionally Christmas than the humble sock?  We’re turning it up a notch this year though – with luxury socks from Burlington and the Falke Silk Men’s Sock for pure indulgence for his feet.

For the perfect stocking filler or the ideal way to keep cosy while the weather finally catches up to the season, take a look at the super soft Falke Bedsocks, available in cream, pale pink and baby blue shades.  Perfect for snuggling up at home or to go under boots for snowball fights!

No Christmas is complete without its fair share of partying, so make sure you take a look at the range of party tights.  Bella Magazine recommends the Spanx Super Shaping Sheers as a festive fashion essential, too – after turkey and all the trimmings it might be time to invest in some shapewear so we can shimmy our way into our New Year’s Eve dresses!

Wear Statement Tights… Because More Magazine Says So.

More! magazine has declared it and we’re not one to argue: Statement Tights are THE new trend to be seen in. Easier than anyone imagines and the cheapest outfit update money can buy, there are tons of ways to work statement tights, More! shows you their top three and we’re here to tell you how to do it…

Pretty Detailing

These statement tights are all about exquisite lace and intricate floral designs. For a twist on the classic design, try a coloured fishnet.

Like the ones in the picture? Check out… Mary Portas and Charnos Baroque Floral Tights in Rich Red and Pamela Mann Flocked Rose Tights.

Fetish

The ever popular bondage tights, first put on the map by style queen Cheryl Cole, were an instant sell out and now it looks as though they’ve come back for another round, just in time to fit in with all the leather you’ve bought for the current fetish trend. For a tamer take on the look, try animal print designs… there are tons of different ones to choose from. From the classic leopard print to funky zebra styles, take a look at the entire animal print tights collection.

Like the ones in the picture? Check out… Pamela Mann Straparound Tights and Jonathan Aston Animal Tights.

90s Rave

By which we of course mean as BRIGHT and LOUD as you can make them! Fluoro colours are perfect, but if you want something subtler try a purple or green to ease you in. Take a look at the whole range of coloured tights but especially keep your eyes peeled for the 40D Jonathan Aston and 80D Pamela Mann versions, which both come in such a variety of colours you will be spoilt for choice.

Like the ones in the picture? Check out… Pretty Polly 60D Lustre Opaques in Ink and the Trasparenze Miami Tights.

~*~ Hot Tip: If these styles aren’t outrageous enough for your quirky fashion sense, check out the Celeste Stein designs – they will blow your mind! ~*~

How to do… Bondage Tights

When we saw this picture of these Jonathan Aston Casino bondage tights that we supplied for a shoot in More magazine we knew immediately they were going to be HUGE news this season.  With Cheryl Cole and Jessie J spotted in similar styles not too long ago, they are the perfect accessory for the fetish trend this season.  They’re enough to make anyone feel an urge to get to the gym IMMEDIATELY (yes, even us) – but the good news is they are a really simple and inexpensive way to update your wardrobe.  To stop us from thinking about when the last time we went to the gym actually was (c.2007) we’ve rounded up the top three ways to do bondage tights…

1)      Rock Chick – The key to this grunge luxe look is black, black, black.  Team short black skirts with leather jackets and baggy t-shirts, and finish with clunky biker boots and mussed up hair to stop it from looking too ‘done’.

2)      Chic Casual – Proving that the fetish trend can work for daytime, layer shorts over the tights and top with slouchy jumpers or plain white t-shirts and chunky knit cardigans.  Flat boots are a must, and to make the look even more relaxed pile your hair up into a messy high bun.

3)      Fetish on Fetish – This look takes a very brave fashionista indeed, but when it works it looks IN-CREDIBLE.  Team the tights with leather and finish with leopard print accessories.  We’ve seen a few leather dresses on the high street recently – if you go for a slightly longer hemline than usual and keep the cut and shape of it simple and clean you will keep the look glamorous, not trashy.

The bondage tights pictured are from Jonathan Aston, but the new collections from Oroblu and Trasparenze also have some great fetish-inspired pieces.  Happy shopping!  We’re off to the gym.  No, really…
