The who’s-who of the music industry turned out in force on Wednesday night to celebrate all the amazing music that’s graced our airwaves over the last 12 months. With Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran deservedly being the biggest winners on the night, perhaps The Brit Awards 2015 will be best remembered for Madonna’s dramatic tumble off the stage. Ouch! That’s put us off wearing capes for life (like we would anyway.) While Madge’s mishap was definitely a talking point, another thing that caught our eye was the array of lovely legwear that adorned the pins of the music elite. Not only Madonna herself, but we also spotted Taylor Swift and Paloma Faith, who were both winners on the night FYI, accessorising their look with some fashion-forward hosiery.
It’s not only musical talent that Taylor and Madonna have in common, with both performing in a pair of vampy fishnet tights. Teaming hers with a sophisticated black playsuit, Taylor took to the stage in true fashionista style, finishing off her look with some leather heeled ankle boots. While we’re envious of Taylor’s never-ending pins, the good news is everyone can copy her look for undoubtedly a fraction of the price paid by Swifty herself.
Looking at least a decade younger than her 56 years, Madonna also wore fishnets as part of her sultry Matador get-up, pairing her legwear with high-waisted cropped trousers, blouse and that now infamous cape! To copy the star looks, the Pamela Mann Fishnet Tights are ideal, and what’s more, are only £5 a pair – how’s that for value? For the more experimental amongst us, they also come in eight shades should you want to mix and match with some colour.
Moving on now to Best British Female Paloma Faith, we’ve long been a fan of her kooky style. Opting for a floor length number for the night itself, her after party attire saw her wearing a Peter Pan collar lace mini with quirky boots and chocolate brown ankle socks. Her sophisticated look was right up her street, particularly her socks, which added a sweet twist to her lace dress.
