We’re all excited about the upcoming Easter weekend. In the run-up to the holiday, we’ve been enjoying lots of different types of hosiery this week as well as socks!
Nude fishnet tights provide a subtle yet fun look that’s suitable for every office. Laura styles her pair with a tweed jacket, jade green polo neck and matching leaf green skirt.
Nix’s Jonathan Aston Iris socks match perfectly with her turquoise and white ensemble. These fashion forward socks feature two important SS14 trends: glitter and pastel pink.
Emma breaks up a navy and light grey office outfit with the addition of blue opaque tights. Blue opaques are great for ladies who are dipping their toes into the world of coloured tights.
We’re hoping for some even warmer weather soon so that we can wear some sheer tights! Here at MyTights.com we hope that you all have a lovely Easter break.
Whether she’s wearing a meat dress or styling her hair as a button (yes really), Lady Gaga is certainly renowned for her eclectic taste. But did you know that she’s an avid hosiery wearer, constantly snapped in a selection of terrific tights? We’ve included here a list of her top 3 hosiery looks. Now whether you choose to match them with a dress made of bubbles à la Gaga is up to you!
Seen recently on the David Letterman with a leather jacket, black knickers, a black diamanté bra and brown fishnet tights, Lady Gaga emulated Madonna by wearing her underwear over her fishnet tights. Another time, inspired by that glamorous 20’s style, the Do What U Want singer teamed a girly lace blouse decorated with pearls, cream frilly pearl-adorned shorts along with nude fishnet tights. Lady Gaga was also snapped in a pair of black fishnets teamed with a spiky leather jacket and, well, black knickers, proving that this diva has a serious addiction to fishnets! Both times the Alejandro hitmaker showed off the sheer brief style of fishnets, showing off the fact that no matter how high your hemlines go, fishnets will never let you down by showing off reinforced material. To emulate Lady G’s sexy style we recommend the Levante Fishnet Tights, available in black, brown and nude styles.
Wearing a matching latex hat, bodysuit, and over knee boots, with a lace fan (why not?) and suspenders (yes, just suspenders and no stockings!) for a modern take on a classic look. For this saucy look in an instant why not match the Henry Holland Super Suspender Tights with a pair of knee high boots and some black city shorts (perhaps cotton is tad more practical than latex)! These 40/20 denier suspender tights have actually been spotted on Jessie J and Frankie from the Saturdays, too.
3. Patterned Tights
With marine blue hair, leopard-print platforms, a black lacy bra and a black and indigo blue jacket, Lady Gaga was on top form again when she was photographed in a pair of detailed fashion tights. For fun patterned tights that will make an impact like the Poker Face starlet’s pair choose the Pamela Mann Comic Strip Tights. Made in 60 denier, these fashion tights are brimming with fun imagery in bright colours, funky enough to impress Mother Monster herself and at a price that won’t break the bank – what’s not to love?
Rihanna is always unapologetic when it comes to her stunning outfit choices, and often they include one of our favourite wardrobe staples ? fishnets! We love how RiRi wears her foxy fishnets with monster levels of style.
On her way to the NYC nightspot, The Marquee, the fashion diva was recently photographed sauntering down the street in an R rated semi-sheer dark blue mini dress, black Louboutin heels and fishnets. And thanks to her (hopefully fake) brown mink coat and fishnets, RiRi was safe from the winter chill. Whilst, they?ll never rival 100 denier opaques for their warmth, fishnets do boast a small insulating factor, especially when woven with a layer of sheers.
Rihanna is not the only girl in the world who could pull off this look, to copy the Barbadian beauty?s style we recommend Levante Fishnet Tights. A classic pair of fishnets with medium size holes, providing you with sultry style. Without any visible reinforcement, you can feel free to flaunt any RiRi style super short hemlines you may desire.
Yet again the Umbrella hit maker brought out her fishnets for a different ensemble. This time matching fishnets with ripped jeans, she showed how it?s possible to combine two punk pieces for a dramatic effect. This look is perfect for those of you who wish to cover up a bit more. If a subtler look is what you?re after, then Jonathan Aston Micronet Tights are ideal. Woven with an additional layer of sheer fabric, these fishnets help to keep you warm during these freezing months.
Love the sexy songstress? style, but prefer the freedom of hold ups? Jonathan Aston Fishnet Hold Ups With Plain Top are chic yet seductive. As an added bonus, fishnets are difficult to snag, so this along with the addition of Lycra, means that you will be able to enjoy wearing these hold ups again and again.
So what now for your hosiery drawer? Let us know which fishnets are your faves.
Single Ladies singer Beyoncé has hit the headlines again over her attempt for total image control. It seems the former Destiny’s child singer is insecure about certain pictures that have emerged, despite being the archetypal pin up girl for bootylicious body confidence.
She first hit the headlines back in February when her publicist was reported as asking website Buzzfeed to remove “unflattering” images of the stars Superbowl performance. Now the singer has again courted controversy after the Daily Mail reported that she has banned all press photographers from her tour – except for her personal official photographer, who has allegedly been hired to capture her most flattering moments.
It’s hard to disagree when you see the released “approved” pictures. Photographed in a variety of outfits on tour, the images all have one thing in common – a fabulous looking Beyoncé, with no awkward poses or deranged grimaces. And as usual, the star is wearing her favourite fishnet tights throughout which make her legs look amazing.

That’s right, our favourite five piece since the Backstreet Boys are back to what they do best and have kicked off their reunion tour with a bang. Complete with sequins, glitter and some rather strange feathered wings, the girls have joined forces once more to give fans an anniversary show to remember. Starting off in Newcastle, it’s clear they’ve set the standards high for the rest of the eight week tour. But it wasn’t the harmonies or Cheryl’s (questionable) new back tattoo we were focused on…it was Nicola Robert’s arms!
Looking fabulous and fierce, the girls changed into metallic basque style dresses and nude fishnets for a part of their set, proving just why they’re an office favourite. It was only then that we noticed that the 27 year old fashionista (and close confidante of designer Henry Holland) was modelling none other than some armery! Possibly one of the most forward thinking uses of hosiery fabric yet, armery was created for those of us who want to keep our arms under wraps when out and about. Great for layering underneath dresses and tees for a faux long sleeve, they add warmth and coverage to any ensemble. What’s more, you can style them over strapless & sleeveless dresses if you’re mindful of feeling too exposed.
It seems Nicola has done just this, adding a chic black number to complement her stage ensemble. To
get the redhead’s savvy style, try the Mary Portas & Charnos Plain Armery. With four fab shades to choose from, including Nicole’s black, there is an armery option for every wardrobe. Whether you wish to match or clash, let the hosiery sleeves sculpt & define your arms for a stage worthy look.
And if you have a penchant for pattern, these clever sleeves also come in a fishnet version and a floral one too!
So take your cue from the pop princesses themselves and get the look now, back tattoos not compulsory…
The Saturdays are one of our favourite girlbands ever, so imagine our excitement when they decided to wear the super cool Pamela Mann fishnet tights supplied by MyTights.com on their sellout tour! Fishnets have come a long way over the last few years – relegated to the back of our wardrobes for being too trashy and/or the sole preserve of high kicking jazz dancers, they’ve emerged again in recent months, with Kate Moss appearing at the British fashion awards in a fishnet dress in November and Cara Delevigne sporting fishnet tights on the Oscar de la Renta Autumn/Winter catwalk last month.
Nude fishnets are the way forward for working this look for the spring. They’ll look perfect with your pastels, and other celebs are getting in on the trend, too – we spied Zooey Deschanel two days ago at a New Girl press event wearing nude fishnets with her sweet summer dress. Fishnets are ideal for the warmer weather as they give your legs a bit of coverage but allow you to keep cool, too.
The Saturdays prove that nude fishnets are the perfect with other upcoming trends, too. Rochelle paired hers with neon pink for a sports luxe look, while Una worked the season’s hottest (and most challenging) colour combo – orange and purple. Meanwhile, Vanessa and Mollie teamed theirs with sparkling silver sequins in a subtle nod to the aquatic trend as seen on the Chanel SS12 catwalk.
And the best news of all? You can get these exact Pamela Mann fishnets for a teeny tiny £5! If nude is a bit too subtle for your liking, they come in a huge range of colours including some summery pastel shades that will perk up your plain sundresses. Or for someth
ing more outlandish, from seamed styles to cute mesh anklets, take a look at the entire range of fishnets. After all, as they say, there are plenty more fish in the sea…
