Get a high fashion look for just £6!

The stylists over at the Sunday Times Style Magazine know their stuff when it comes to fashion, and last week they went crazy for tights, pairing high fashion from powerhouses like Ralph Lauren, Dior and Armani with tights from Jonathan Aston and Falke supplied by us here at MyTights –  even though prices start from just £6.

Our top look was white tights (such a hard look to pull off) teamed with faux fur and dusky pink satin kitten heels, followed closely by a decadent red velvet dress which fell in drapes over barely black sheer tights from Falke.   Take a look at these beautiful outfits and pick your favourite, and see how an affordable pair of tights can hold their own with even the highest of high end fashion…

How to do… Colour Pop Tights

Hurray for the Sunday Times, who have shown us in their latest shoot exactly how to do colour pop accessories!  Using a plethora of hosiery supplied by MyTights.com, they have worked the trend for coloured tights in their cutting edge fashion spread.

Multi tonal hues with luxe leather is the simplest way to do this look (above left).  Overlay these Jonathan Aston opaque tights in Bottle (the exact ones the model is wearing, FYI) with darker knee high socks such as these super luxurious Wolford knee high socks in Anthracite.  Choose a deep green or black minidress and a moss coloured jumper, and finish with a slice of arm candy – if you can’t afford the £995 price tag of the Bally bag in the pic fear not – the high street is flooded with designer-look bags at the moment, all at a fraction of the price!

If you’re feeling a little bit bolder or need a splash of colour to take away the post-summer blues, then clashing is the way forward.  Our favourite look is the extremely on trend purple and mustard combo (centre), which is a great way to update your wardrobe inexpensively for the winter.  Simply layer coloured knee high socks over purple tights (The styles worn in the pic are from fashionista favourite Pamela Mann, and are a snip at under £8 for both!)  Team with anything mustard – it’s the colour of the season so there are loads of pieces to choose from on the high street at the moment, and finish with leather accessories in shades of red, orange and tan.

We’d leave the masks at home, though…
