Ok, so we can’t help much with that last one, but with everything else, and to make up for a deplorable state of affairs in shops (internet shopping is 24/7, just to remind you), we’ve compiled a list we hope you’ll find helpful to best dress those beautiful long legs of yours. Now if we could just do something about roomier seating on airplanes….

We have tried and tested, tested and tried and then tried them again to find the best fit for those gorgeous long legs of yours!

Our Top Tips are below, however, sizing is generally consistent within brands.

TIGHTS

Falke Seidenglatt Tights Size Chart fits up to 5’11” (L), 6’0” (XL) and 6’2” (XXL)

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3” and UK dress size 12. “I’m speechless, but that’s not much help to you is it! These are by far the most fabulous fit I have ever come across. I had resigned myself to gussets not reaching their target resting patch, making me walk like a duck. When I tried these on in XXL, I beamed: they fit like a glove. The two seams on the back panel are so subtle, comfy and soft, and the feel from toe to waist is one of pure luxury and total, absolute FIT.”

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3” and UK dress size 12. “I tried on the XL and they were almost too big! The yarn is such that they give a lot, similar to La Perla’s Leger in XL. The Brazil hue is fantastic: these are just what I was looking for in elegant, subtle flesh colored tights. Thumbs up to Falke yet again”.

Length Test - Tester Size 6’1.5” & 36” inside leg. "They could have been a bit longer, which meant they laddered after two wears. The length wasn't in any way uncomfortable though, so not bad".

Length Test - Tester Size 6’1.5” & 36” inside leg. "I loved the look and feel of these. Length wise they were not bad - not as long as the Levante Eclipse - certainly wearable, but, I'd definitely wear them again."

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3”. “Nope. Two inches off target, would fit a six footer beautifully I think. Sheer from waist to toe, they’re very shiny: nice feel otherwise.”

Pretty Polly Xxtra Light Support Size Chart fits sizes 20-26 (Size XL), 26+ (Size XXL)

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3” and dress size UK 12. “The XL size was a perfect fit for me. They are tight though due to the support. The special panel for bottom and hip is incredibly comfortable. The Barely Black is sort of charcoal is color. Very nice.”

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3” & dress size UK 12. “Phenomenal fit. The size chart claims these only go up to 5’10” but the fact that they are open toe and don’t hug your foot means you gain an extra 3” in length on the leg. Lovely feel.”

Le Bourget Epil Reduce Bio-Complex Tights Size Chart fits up to 6’1” (Size 4)

Length Test - Tester Size 6’3” & UK dress size 12 “Tights which slow down the growth of superfluous hair! They have an amazing sculpting effect, though they’re hard work to put on! I was surprised by how well they fit me and my long legs. Very impressed.”
