Support tights and support socks use exactly the same principle of graduated compression but are even stronger and generally have higher support levels (which means that they feel tighter when you put them on). Support products are described in terms of a factor number as well as level of support:

• Light Support – Factor 6
• Medium Support – Factor 8
• Firm Support – Factor 10
• Strong Support – Factor 12

Historically it has been difficult to get support tights that are actually attractive to look at as well – however this is changing as people expect to get more out of their hosiery. Reduce The Orange Peel Effect

Aristoc’s Bodytoners not only have graduated compression, (resulting in less tired legs), they also improve the appearance of your skin. Microcapsules of marine extracts have been encapsulated and bonded onto the tights after draying. The capsules are slowly broken down in wear and the algae extracts are released from the tights against your skin (the effect lasts fivewashes). In trials women felt that the appearance of their legs improved and the ‘orange peel’ effect was reduced.
